Last year Nick helped us in installing a new portable hood system and in doing so went above and beyond to get it completed. There were alot of hoops with the city permit system and he helped us through it all. This year we were due for our annual inspection and again Nick performed with an excellent professionalism. I wouldn't think of using anyone else and highly recommend C&S.

I am the maintenance director at a memory care facility and was put in charge of turning a prep kitchen into an actual commercial kitchen. I purchased a stand alone ventless ansul hood instead of having a commercial hood built into the facility. Little did Nick or I know that the city has not had a lot of experience with the type of hood we bought and therefore unclear about the feasibility of allowing us to get a permit granted. Nick spent numerous hours answering questions, filing paperwork, and generally having a great attitude in helping me to figure it all out. Thanks to his work ethic and perseverance I will be using C&S Fire exclusively from now on.

I was called for a sprinkler site survey to find the capacity of the dry system for the compressor. I got the capacity and relayed that to the customer. I checked out and let the customer know everything that they had requested.

Upon arrival to this location we inspected the hoods to verify that nothing had changed. We unloaded our plastic (insurance) and tape and got busy building our funnels to divert the water we were going to spray in the duct and on the fans. We steam cleaned the inside of the hood, the duct through the roof and the fan on the roof. We will also scrape if the build up is extreme. After we were done spraying we took the plastic down, wiped all the equipment and the outside of the hood. We added our sticker to the outside of the hoods letting the fire marshal know and anyone that looks that the duct system was cleaned and when it was cleaned. We also mop to remove dirt or grime that we may have left. We then filled out our report and left the site.

Conducted a routine inspection of their fire extinguishers. After checking in with the office manager, I inspected all extinguishers throughout the facility, verifying their placement, accessibility, and condition. During the inspection, I found one ABC fire extinguisher in the breakroom with an expired maintenance tag and another in the storage area with a low-pressure reading on the gauge. To address these issues, I recharged the low-pressure extinguisher and replaced the expired extinguisher with a compliant, fully charged unit from our inventory. After ensuring all extinguishers were properly mounted and visible, I updated the maintenance records and informed the office manager of the completed work, recommending regular monthly checks to monitor extinguisher condition.
