Customer called and is doing some remodeling of their site. They needed to get the Kitchen Ansul system checked and needed some new fire extinguishers for the new areas added. I did a survey and then started to do the inspection of the Ansul System. I completed that and then figured out where they needed new fire extinguishers. I asked the customer if they wanted to do it all at one time or do a little enow and a little later. They want to do it now so I started placing them in the proper locations per NFPA code. They ended up getting 5 new ones and then I inspected the rest. I let them know if they were doing any more remodel they might need more to have proper coverage.

I dropped in to see if this customer was ready for the annual fire extinguisher inspection that they were due for. They said yes, that I could do that now. I looked at the extinguisher for height and if it was in good shape. Then I pulled it down and checked the gauge, the hose, the external body and wiped it down. I did not find anything wrong so I put the fire extinguisher back in its place and let them know they were good for another year unless they use the fire extinguisher.

I happened to be in the area and stopped into this location to see if they wanted to get their annual fire extinguishers done. They are on my monthly work order load. I asked for the manager to make sure it was ok. The manager said go ahead and get it done. I then checked all fire extinguishers for proper placement and proceeded to inspect them all. There were two fire extinguishers that needed to be serviced. I did that then did the inspection on the rest and they are good for another year or until one is used. I let the customer know and moved on to the next customer.

Customer called to schedule their annual fire extinguisher inspection. I arrived and found a single fire extinguisher, inspected the gauge, hose and fire extinguisher for any damage. No damage found so I tagged it and wiped the extinguisher down. Hung it where it is supposed to be and left a review for the customer.

I then checked the fire extinguishers for any defects and inspected them for proper location and to make sure they will function correctly. All fire extinguishers are good until used or next year when the inspection is due once again.
